Handwritten Letters From Jim

These are letters written by Jim to Jay Lasker of ABC - Dunhill Records
This first letter was dated September 14th, 1973
Jim died less than a week later

The Letter reads:
Dear Jay & everybody at ABC - Dunhill Records
I really don't know quite where to begin thanking everybody for all the hard work, confidence, and support that went into making "Ole Leroy" the success that it has been. For me - it's kinda hard to explain the feeling of seeing a dream realized. The gold records that Maury and I received are beautiful to look at, but even deeper than that is the sense of group accomplishment all of us share in seeing everyones hard work pay - off in the form of a successful record. We all hope it's the first of many to come. It's near impossible to write to everyone around the country, but please extend our gratitude and deepest "thank - you" to everyone for us.Hope to see eveyone when we come out to tape the next Midnite Special ( this time I'll have my flu shot).
Till then - take care and extend our warmest thanks, hello's, and  "see - ya - soons"  to everybody.

                                                                          All the best & more
                                                                                Jim
