Jim
Croce:

![]() |
On September 20,
1973, Jim Croce, along with his friend and lead guitar player, Maury Muehleisen,
and 4 others, died when their chartered Beechcraft D-18 snagged the
top of a pecan tree during take-off and crashed after a concert at Northwestern
State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
So ended the
life of a legend. This Web site is dedicated to his memory.
Sept. 20, 2008 - 35 years since we lost Jim and Maury, and 10 years since we gathered with our new Croce and Muehleisen friends in Philadelphia for "The Gathering". Our thoughts and prayers are with the Croce and Muehleisen families on this sad anniversary.
